We play a game at our house called "ball". The girls set at the top of the stairs and we throw balls back and forth. The game is fun for them and therapeutic for me. Funny because balls bounce off their face; therapeutic because the balls hitting their face may or may not be on purpose. You should try it sometime.

Styled
{while Olivia is my Interior Decorator, Emma is my Stylist. I had some beautiful lips that day!}
I have really enjoyed teaching preschool. I now teach one day a week and have a small group of 5 kids for a couple hours. I love being called "Ms Maddie". Some of my favorite quotes for the last couple of weeks...
"I love you Ms. Maddie"
"You smell beautiful"
"I farted everybody" {this was said out in song}
"It smells like toots in here!"
I watched "Gone with the Wind" yesterday and am trying to figure out why this story is an all time American classic. I went to bed feeling depressed. There was nothing redeeming about the movie besides the character Melanie who pretty much gets the shaft the whole time. "Breakfest at Tiffanys" is another one I'm still trying to figure out. Sorry if these are anyones favorites...I guess I was just expecting something a little more uplifting from both of them. I'm now going to ready the plot summary before watching or reading "The Classics".

Who wouldn't want to freak out for so long and hard that your mom gives up trying to make you nap. Allowing you to watch a movie with your sister only to end up sleeping on your face for two hours on the couch. Emma I do not deserve your stubborn fits...that would be my sister who deserves that goodness.
On another note all is well here. Livi just got accepted into a public preschool where she will be picked up by a bus and shipped off for training three days a week in the afternoon. She starts in two weeks and it is bitter/sweet for me. I'm excited for some quite time but sad that she is already at the phase in life where she will be in school...how did this happen.
And a warm thank you to Mr. Brant for finally making me a Aunt on the Carter side. I can't wait to hold and kiss you and then pass you along when you start crying. mmm I love you.

Happy Valentines Day!
Hope everyone has a Happy Valentines! Our plan is to have nice family candlelit dinner, snuggle up and watch a movie, and listen to the rain outside our window. Please note the sign I have had displayed like this for the last month. Kade informed me of its mix-up yesterday. It seemed to fit the day, from expensive dvd players that don't work, extremely whinny two year old, and fixing the wrong breadstick recipe for company. awesome.
Something that has cheered my spirits: Livi playing "I am a child of God" on her kazoo. Pretty impressive.

Burned
I'm an avid price-matcher at Walmart. In fact I'm the lady you don't want to get behind when you are checking out. I do try to organize the items I'm price-matching to make the process a speedy one. So I feel like I'm do my part. In fact I try to go to the same lady each week...Patty. Patty does her research too and like a good Walmart cashier knows the ads by heart. It makes it so we are not forced to flip through the ads to compare products and such and such. Well Patty recently was bumped up to management forcing me to bounce around from cashier to cashier, trying to find that connection me and Patty had. I've been disappointed. I found Catherine in the gardening section. She is social, remembers my girls, bribes them with stickers, and has two missing front teeth. She's perfect! But she works in gardening and I'm NOT taking my full chart to the gardening section.
Back to square one.
Well this leads me to last weeks shopping experience. I checking out at 9:30pm on a thursday night (an interesting experience by itself) and I come to a bag of fruit originally $4.50 on sale for $.96 at Food City. Apparently I'm supposed to get the individually bagged fruit instead of the pre-bagged fruit so management is called for us to plead our case. I turn around and see Patty walking towards us. A big smile comes on my face and I think "Yes, Patty will match this for me, we have the teller/customer connection!"
She comes up to my current cashier who tells her the situation. Looks at me and tells me again that the fruit I bought needs to come from the individual bags versus the pre-bags. I just stare at her as there is no recollection of me across her face. I meant nothing to her! I tell them I'll buy it for full price trying to shake off the rejection. Patty then walks off to her next task.
Patty you are dead to me.
I will never give myself to another Walmart employee as long as I live...unless she/he will price-match my oranges.

I can't taste my food
{the girls doing yoga with dad [an effort to get his back better]}
While I survived the worst cold known to man; Kade and the girls also battled their own this weekend. I can't taste my food and decided that it is probably one of the most depressing situations I have ever been through. I'm sure I will make it.
